MINI is making a comeback on the international rally circuit. From 2011, the brand will compete at selected rounds of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) and will go on to contest the entire season from 2012 onwards. This involvement is planned for several years.

Three different designers worked on the cars. New York fashion designer Kenneth Cole took on the MINI Convertible, while Belgian-born US fashion designer, Diane von Furstenberg, showed her creativity on the three-door hatch. Fiat is the cabrio version sports cabrioletelor segment’s 500 Abarth. In addition, unlike a MINI convertible, 500C has only folding top made of a fabric while the side pillars are fixed.
