The German tuner unveiled its vision of the Fiat 500 Abarth Ferrari Dealers. Pogea Racing that left it’s mark on the Italian city model is based in Markdorf.

The changes consist of recalibrating the ECU unit, installing a more efficient inter-cooler, changing the intake system and replacing the exhaust system with a sportier one. Thanks to these changes the Multiair 1.4-liter engine produces 268 hp and develops a maximum torque of 330 Nm.

To rein in the 268-horsepower, Pogea Racing improved the braking system’s Fiat 500. Inside, the German tuners have chosen to combine leather with carbon fiber.

The semi-500C convertible Abarth is powered by a 1.4 liters 140 hp turbocharged four-cylinder, which provides a maximum speed of 127 mph and 0-62 mph (100 kph) time of 8.1 seconds while returning UK 43mpg on the combined cycle.

The feisty Town Car is equipped with seven airbags, xenon headlights, TTC (Torque Transfer Control), parking sensors, the system Blue & Me hands-free communication, leather steering wheel and alloy wheels of 16 inches and more than one six-speed manual transmission with shift paddles, as a rule.

Ages facelift Punto Abarth is powered by a 165bhp 1.4 liter Turbo, a car can accelerate 0-62 mph (100 kmh) 7.9 seconds and a top speed of 132 mph, although does more than 47mpg UK combined cycle.

Standard equipment includes six airbags, TTC, Eco Gear Shift Indicator (EGSI), sports performance switch, Start-Stop-tech alloy rims 17-inch and Blue&Me hands-free communication.

The Italian automaker released a barrage of photos and initial specs on the spiritual successor of the original Uno that will first go on sale in Brazil this month, with other South American countries to follow suit in the second half of the year.

There have been reports from Italy stating that Fiat plans to sell and produce the new Uno in Europe and Russia, but this has yet to be confirmed from official sources.

Measuring 3,770mm in length, 1,643mm in width and 1,490mm in height with a wheelbase length of 2,370mm (boot capacity stands at 280 liters), the new Uno fits (dimension-wise) between the Panda and the Punto EVO.

In some ways, it’s exterior styling bears a passing resemblance to the smaller Panda, albeit in a larger package and with its own unique detailing. The interior design is more simple and less stylish than in other Fiat products – at least compared to the ones sold in Europe.

In typical Fiat fashion, the new Uno will be come in plenty of flavors including a pseudo-SUV version called “Way” that features a higher road clearance and rugged looks.

Depending on the market, the new Uno will be offered with a choice of two new flex-fuel petrol engines, a 1.0-liter unit producing 73HP when running on alcohol and 75HP on gasoline, and a 1.4-liter unit delivering a maximum output of 88HP on alcohol and 85HP on gasoline.

Both engines are hooked up to a five-speed manual gearbox that drives the front wheels.

Claimed to have “supercar performance in a city car’s size”, Atomik’s 500 features a bunch of fancy tech under its carbon fiber skin: “high performance LiFePO4 batteries”, brushless synchronous motors, two new transmissions (resulting in permanent AWD), a ceramic heater, and a carbon/Nomex rear chassis (by the way, Nomex is what Batman’s suit is made out of).

Power at the front comes in at 80 kW and a very electric 840 Nm (619 lb-ft), while the rear engine makes the same power and a silly 1,710 Nm (1,261 lb-ft). Combined, that’s good for 160 kW (215 hp) and an unadjusted 2,550 Nm (1,880 lb-ft) split 33/67 front to rear.

Atomik says the electrified 500 should hit 100 km/h in under 5 seconds with a top speed of around 200 km/h (electric cutoff is at 180 km/h), while providing a range of 200 km (124 miles).

The Italian automaker is going to create a special edition version of the 500 entirely covered by 1,500 photos displaying the faces of Fiat 500 customers, celebrities and fans.

Starting from next week (May 3), those interested can book a place on the car by logging on to www.fiat500.com and using the special application showing a plan view of the Fiat 500. They can then book one of the free spaces online by sending a photograph.

Fiat said that seventy per cent of the places are reserved for Fiat 500 owners.

The special “Fiat 500 Thousandth” is expected to be ready three weeks after the booking stage is concluded and will be featured by the Italian carmaker in forthcoming events and international motor shows.

The car borrows its name from the predecessor of the Punto and Grande Punto superminis, the highly successful Uno that was introduced in 1983 as a replacement to the ageing Fiat 127. Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, the original Uno remained in production until 1995 having received a heavy facelift in 1989.

Its spiritual successor, which closely resembles a larger Panda in appearance, will be manufactured in Brazil.

It will be offered (initially) in two flavors, the standard five-door hatchback model and the crossover-ish Uno Way that boasts a higher road clearance and rugged looks.

There are no details on the engine range, but South American buyers shouldn’t expect any surprises under the hood as Fiat will most likely use the same small displacement powertrains found on its other models.

Sources state that the new Uno will also make its way to Europe, Russia and other major international markets, but Fiat has yet to announce any specific details.

According to these unnamed sources, the car will appear first in Europe, at the end of 2011, but the exact date for the North American launch is not yet certain. Another uncertainty regards the number of Chrysler Group dealerships that will sell Fiats.

On April 21, CEO Sergio Marchionne will announce the company’s five year plan, which may include the arrival in the U.S. of the four-door Fiat 500, the same sources say. The project has been approved inside the group, being assigned the codename L0. In Europe, the car would be classified as a small minivan, competing with other cars of the same category, such as the Opel Meriva.

Fiat is said to build the 4-door 500 at its Turin Mirafiori plant, on a longer and wider platform than the two-door model’s. The four-door version will be the fourth addition to the Fiat 500 lineup in the U.S., after the two-door (2010), the convertible version (2011) and the performance version, that will be marketed under the Abarth brand (2012). North American versions of the two-door model will be assembled at Chrysler’s factory in Toluca, Mexico, starting this year.

Chrysler is also planning to bring a subcompact sedan in North America from a Fiat factory in Serbia. The Chrysler brand product plan, unveiled in November, called for a Fiat-derived subcompact sedan to be imported in 2013. The vehicle would be built in Kragujevac, Serbia, where local automaker Zastava Automobili once made the Yugo.

Abarth has presented the first official pictures of Punto EVO and 500C before their debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

Abarth Italy’s own versions reveal layout EVO models Fiat Punto and Fiat 500C before the onset of the Geneva Motor Show. The two models are expected to begin on 2 March, and these performances promise to be envied.

Fiat Punto Abarth EVO version of an engine develops 161 hp thanks MultiAir of 1.4 liters and the Italians will create a version that will develop 178 hp esesse. According to the Abarth, Punto Evo accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 7.5 seconds while top speed is 214 km / h. Other details of this model will be unveiled along with its debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

Abarth 500C is equipped with a 1.4 liter engine Tjet offers 138 hp. For now, the Italians have not given information about a potential Esesse version, but no option equip this model with a robotic gearbox controlled via steering shifting  – as if 695 Tributo versions. In version Abarth, Fiat 500C accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 7.9 seconds while top speed is 204 km / h. As if his EVO Punto, the Abarth will unveil the details of this model along with its debut in Geneva.
