So with the new Giulietta hatchback already hitting markets around the world, speculation is already surfacing of a revival of the Sprint in a new coupe variant.

If you’re thinking a two-door Giulietta would step on its baby brother’s toes, you’re not far off. The Mito was envisioned as part of a two-pronged approach to replacing the old 147. But with the Alfa GT in need of replacement, a Giulietta Sprint could help Alfa capitalize on the new platform which is also set to underpin a new crossover as well.

Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione will benefit this year from a GTA version that comes with 50 additional horsepower and 150 pounds less than the baseline scenario.

After three of the leading design houses of Italy (Pininfarina, Zagato and Bertone) have made a gift of one of the Alfa Romeo concept to commemorate the centenary of the Italian brand, manufacturer and raises Milan launches a version of GTA of 8C Competizione.

Italy’s Zagato has unveiled the first information about TZ3 Corsa, a concept that will be exposed during this year’s edition of Elegance Competition
Villa d’Este. TZ3 Corsa is a unique model prepared by Italian coach builder Zagato for Alfa centenary.

This is the third model specifically designed to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of Alpha, the first two as Bertone and Pininfarina 2uettottanta Pandion. Regarding the engine, the Italians were ready for a propellant TZ3 Corsa 4.2-liter V8 capable of delivering up to 420 horsepower. Italian model has a mass of 850 kg, thanks to type monocoque chassis of carbon fiber and aluminum body.

Corsa TZ3 can sprint from 0-100 km / h in 3.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 300 km / h.

Sergio Marchionne, Fiat Group boss, today announced future plans relating to Alfa Romeo. The event, officially supported by Alfa Romeo, will take place on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 June in Milan, the city where the brand was founded on 24 June 1910.

Alfa Romeo said that the enrolled crews (the objective is to gather more than 3000 names) will parade their cars through the streets of the center of Milan on the afternoon of 26 June.

The following day, on the morning of Sunday 27 June, all crews will take part in a record-breaking display forming a long line of Alfa Romeos, all bearing the characteristic “Biscione” emblem on the roof.

Alfa Romeo MiTo debuts with a new diesel engine developed by Fiat Powertrain Technologies. 1.3-liter unit is the first member of the generation Multijet II and comes with 95-horsepower and 200 Nm.

Fiat has announced the launch of a new generation of diesel engines, named as otherwise than Multijet II. New diesel technology, developed by Fiat Powertrain Technologies, assumed control of quantity of fuel injected into the cylinder, leading to consumption and to obtain very low emissions.

The new system starts on diesel engine of 1.3 liter JTDM-2, installed on Alfa Romeo MiTo. Propulsorul delivers a total of 95 horsepower at 4,000 revs and a torque of 200 Nm starting with 1500 rpm. Resources are sufficient to propel your hatchback from 0 to 100 km / h in 11.6 seconds and allow to reach a top speed of 180 km / h.

All this with an average consumption of only 4.3 litres/100 km and a value CO2 emissions of 112 g / km. Euro Unit 5 is in this respect and start-stop system and particulate filter.

The new Alfa Romeo MiTo 1.3 Multijet II will be available with three equipment levels, Turismo, Lusso and velocità, and will be found first in the UK market.

In celebration of its own 80th anniversary and Alfa Romeo’s 100th birthday, famous Italian design house Pininfarina announced that it will be unveiling a new roadster concept model at this year’s Geneva Salon on March 2.

Pininfarina said in a statement that the two seater concept car will blend modern with vintage styling cues from classic Alfa Romeo Spiders of the past. Aside from the teaser sketch seen above, the Italian company did not release any other images or details on the roadster model.
