Red Bull announced that Sebastian Vettel will use a new chassis in the Grand Prix of Turkey, after the team discovered a technical fault in previous version.
Red Bull Racing has conducted a thorough investigation into the chassis used by Sebastian Vettel during the first six races this season and discovered a technical fault.
The team did not specify the exact nature of technical problem, but has decided to offer him a new chassis German pilot from the Turkish Grand Prix next weekend.
“Vettel experienced some problems with the current handling chassis during the Grand Prix of Monaco. After several investigations found a small defect or chassis, which will be replaced for the next race in Turkey,” said Christian Horner, the head Red Bull Racing team.
Despite handling problems, Vettel finished race two in Monaco and occupies first position in the overall standings on equal points with team-mate Mark Webber. The latter is already the second consecutive victory this season and Upgrading of Vettel could be justified at least partly with the chassis and German affairs.
Webber already using the second chassis this season, having dropped the first of them even after the opening race in Bahrain.
