Hyundai: climb to 4.5% of the U.S. market in 2010
Few, very few manufacturers worldwide have weathered the crisis of 2009. And among them are without doubt the Korean Hyundai-Kia, which not only held blow, but have also taken advantage of the situations experienced by some far more serious competitor. Now, the march of the Asian group, is still at a stage upstream. And so, for 2010, predictions can be made very, very ambitious.
As those related to the American market, of which Reuters said today. Only the Hyundai brand, thus excluding the volumes of the same tonic Kia, is aiming for a share of 4.5% of U.S. market, where, however, things have already started out well for the home in recent times.
The progress of which they speak the official projections will be achieved through a major communication campaign, but mainly through a series of launches of new products, modern and now absolutely adequate to the needs of Western markets. There are two keystones of expansion plans: The new Sonata sedan (which has less than nothing to do with the old) and the equally unprecedented ix35, which as we told you during our road test last week was an SUV medium in size more than interesting.
