Mikko Hirvonen has admitted that it will be harder to gain the victory in the Rally of Mexico due to road conditions that are more difficult than in Sweden.

Hirvonen won the Rally of Sweden without emotions, the first stage of the season 2010 World Rally Championship, imposing definitely in the front of it’s rival, Sebastien Loeb.

The victory on the snow will oblige the Finnish to start first in the round in Mexico that will take place on a gravel surface and that will be Loeb’s advantage. The pilot admitted that this will be a disadvantage in the fight for victory with his rival.

“We’ll see what we can do, but Mexico will be a challenge. It is obvious that the road will be a greater problem than in Sweden, and if you go first in the special stages you will clean the route. So it will be more difficult and we will lose some time on Friday stages” said the BP Ford team pilot for the official site of the World Rally Championship.
