Behind the name Citroen DS High Rider are hidden future DS4 and C4. A prototype for two, in fact, designed to convey technical and stylistic cues replicated by future C-segment in France. The concept car waiting at the Geneva Motor Show has a body from hatchback with three doors and four seats, with low volume and adverse to sustained global growth last five years: the DS High Rider is in fact 4:26 m long, 1.82 wide and high 1.48, and will share the platform and engine range with the upcoming C4.

The Citroen DS High Rider is based on alloy wheels with a diameter of 19 inches, showing the admixture between malice and versatility. Citroen “inventing new ways to express the dynamism in the car, without denying the characteristics of the traditional coupe,” between performance and attitude raised. A hybrid, in fact, also reflected in the key technical: an HDi engine with particulate filter can be replaced by an electric motor disposed on the rear axle, and this solution allows you to travel without emitting pollutants emitted, giving rise to a four wheel drive. Citroen DS4 series will be presented at the next exhibition in Paris in October 2010.
