These data come from a Swedish newspaper, which gives details about the Council of Administration meeting, but also about their discussions with GM. “Saab officials had a brief meeting and some GM representatives could participate in discussions by telephone. He was present during the meeting and completed the declared, saying that closing Saab will take many years. Regarding the new offer made by Spyker, the Swedish government was very distrustful of its success and began preparations for the closing of Saab.
Also, Maud Olofsson, Minister for Enterprise and Energy, said will help employees Saab unblocking funds of 59.19 million euros for the creation of new jobs. Matts Carlsson, an industry analyst said that GM was not interested in selling Saab, but to close the Swedish manufacturer’s so that Americans will avoid a possible competitor.
These statements were challenged by Haakan Danielsson, saying: “GM wants to sell Saab. It is better to recieve money than to pay for closing a company. In terms of Spyker, Victor Muller, director of the Dutch manufacturer, said it is very hard work, being pressured by time.
